Its that time again...time to unload all the boys' pictures from their cameras.  Time to smile and laugh, alot. There is no greater peek into the boy's lives than to see their pictures from their camera.  

This month I found this wonderful picture of Evan smiling, this is *so* Evan.  I love it.  It appears to have been taken in the parking lot of the grocery store.

Neglect of a Blog

When the weather is nice and the garden is blooming and the swimming pool is calling our names and there is just so much outdoor fun to be had, its hard to justify sitting down for a full post on the blog.  Nonetheless, here are some highlights from the last week or so.  

G promised the boys to get them a giant ice cream cone to split between them.  This was TWO pounds of ice cream!  They managed to eat half of it and brought the second half home!  We have decided to make this a yearly tradition to see how much the volume consumed by the children increases over the coming years!

The big trip of the last week was to a farm that we just adore.  The boys had such a great time feeding and petting the animals, and playing on all the playgrounds and in the water park there.  I met up with two of my friends there and between us we had 9 kids and really had not a single problem.  What a great day.

Evan was in heaven when he got to hold this soft black bunny.  He was so gentle and kind.  He loves animals.  He tells me frequently that some day he wants to be a veterinarian.  I think he would make an excellent one.

Nathan for the life of him could not figure out what the things attached to the goat's head were.  When I told him they were the goat's ears, he said, "why are they so LONG?!"  It was very cute.

The goat wanted my camera, or hair.  Or both.

At first Nathan did NOT like the spray park.  The water was getting on his hair and in his eyes.  But, eventually he warmed up to it and had a fun day.

He kept telling me that they were giant "drinkers" which I think he meant bubblers, and tried actually drinking from them.  YUCK!

The favorite part of the park for Evan was the go-carts.  He rode and rode and rode them around and around, he must have pedaled miles.  Id love to get him something like this for home.  I think it would be great exercise and muscle building for him.

The boys liked these little sit and scooter things alot too.  Even Nathan could make them go!

The Weekend and More

I've been neglecting my blog. The garden has been taking over the majority of my time.  You see, its peach season, and we have alot.  Ive been canning jam in all my spare time.  This week I attempt canned peaches.  Also, Ive been trying to pickle all the cucumbers that keep growing on our plants.  And then there are the kids and all the fun things we have been busy doing.  Here is just a sampling:

G and I took the older two boys to a local minor league baseball game last weekend.  It was TONS of fun.  A huge thanks to my parents for watching Nathan for the night so we could enjoy the game without distractions.

Between innings things were thrown into the stadium.  The kids got a couple soft balls!

This past week Evan had baseball camp about a half hour away from our home.  Instead of doing 2 hours of driving each day, Nathan, Justin and I found activities to do near the camp.  On this day, we went blueberry picking in the rain.  The kids were real troopers though and we managed to pick 18 pounds of blueberries!!  It was quite wet but lots of fun.

While we were at the farm we visited the animals and fed them.  Nathan got too close with this bag he was keeping his goat food in and the goat snatched it right out of his hand and ate the entire bag, food and all before you could blink an eye!  So funny.  Nathan was laughing hysterically over the whole episode.

Guess who was back the other night on our window screen?  Our friend the tree frog.  That frog really likes our family apparently.

Nathan is quite the smart kid.  The other night while I was prepping dinner and he was having his first course of dinner, he created this pattern with his tomatoes and grapes.  He called out to me, "mommy I need more red ones".  Sure enough, he was right!  He is amazing at math and sorting at 2 years old!!!

 I took the kids on an adventure this morning, just me and the boys exploring a park I havent been to in a couple years.  So much fun.  This is the old lady in the shoe house, and the boys are peering in the window to look for all the kids :)

I think I forgot to post the pictures we had taken of the boys a few weeks back now.  They did a really great job.  We had a great photographer too.  He managed to get a decent shot of all three boys together, something I cannot pull off by myself!!!
